Building Connections: Networking Night Sparks Inspiration

This week, Grace Place hosted an exciting networking event that brought together over 50 high school students and young professionals for an evening of connection, conversation, and inspiration. Organized by our Grace Place Ambassadors, the event gave juniors and seniors a unique opportunity to meet local professionals, explore different career paths, and exchange ideas.

The energy in the room was electric, with students and professionals sharing stories, asking questions, and making meaningful connections. Many students left feeling inspired and motivated, armed with new insights for their future goals. In addition to networking, students had the chance to practice essential soft skills—like communication, professionalism, and confidence—that will help them in job interviews, scholarship interviews, and other opportunities as they prepare for life after high school.

This networking event perfectly complements the career and college readiness program offered through our after-school program, which includes career speakers, college visits, ACT test prep, essay support, mentoring, paid internships, and even opportunities for full-ride scholarships. Together, these experiences give students the guidance, skills, and confidence they need to envision and achieve their goals.

Events like this exemplify how Grace Place fosters meaningful relationships between students and the community, helping them build networks that can open doors to future opportunities. We’re incredibly proud of everyone who participated and grateful to our Ambassadors for making this event such a big success.
