Our Mission
Grace Place puts faith into action, providing pathways out of poverty by educating children and families.
Our Vision
That all families in Golden Gate have access to education to break the cycle of poverty.
Our Values
Family Education and Transformation
We believe that education transforms lives, promotes dignity and enhances self-esteem. We understand that an investment in the education of all members of the family – child, adolescent and adult – creates a powerful educational culture in the home and long-term achievement for both children and families.
Leadership and Excellence
We actively set and communicate high expectations and standards for the quality of work and results we require from every staff member, student, board member, and volunteer who works with Grace Place. We strive to set the bar high and challenge the status quo every day.
Integrity and Stewardship
We are committed to the highest level of accountability to our donors, families and our community. We value the dedication of our Board of Directors and staff and hold them to the highest ethical standards as they work to achieve our mission. Our reputation is our greatest asset, and our decisions and all actions must reflect that. We strive to be honest, fair, transparent, and accountable in all we do.
Faith and Inclusiveness
We are inspired by the morals and values of our faith. We welcome and serve all people with good will, regardless of their beliefs. We value diversity and strive to represent it through all aspects of our organization. We believe in teaching good values, ethics and a sense of morality.
Community and Volunteerism
We provide opportunities for people and organizations to experience the power of working together to transform lives and improve the quality of life in our community. We celebrate the passion of our volunteers and donors and strive to provide a rewarding volunteer experience.
Sustainability and Innovation
We believe in providing a hand up not a hand out and encourage and embrace innovative practices which result in positive outcomes. We do this by teaching families skills to be self-sufficient and sustainable.
Our Diversity Equity Inclusion Statement
We embrace diversity, equity, and inclusiveness, knowing that unique ideas come from everyone. Modeling these values makes us better educators. We listen to all voices, welcome opinions, and learn from our differences. That’s the Grace Place way.
