Preparing for Kindergarten

Summer at Grace Place is a time of exploration and growth, especially at our Rising Kindergarten Camp, which buzzes with excitement every Wednesday. We’re deeply committed to preparing our young learners for kindergarten and beyond.

In our weekly classes, we focus on enhancing crucial literacy and kindergarten readiness skills, including letter recognition, phonemic awareness, and number recognition. Our activities are designed to make learning engaging and effective, guided by our dedicated teachers who lay a strong foundation for each child’s educational journey.

At Grace Place, we prioritize not only academic skills but also social-emotional growth. Through cooperative play and Conscious Discipline techniques, we foster teamwork, empathy, and self-regulation among our campers, vital for their overall development and success in school and life.

We believe in the power of family engagement. Encouraging parents to join us strengthens child-parent connections and facilitates sharing of effective home learning strategies. Together, we create a supportive environment where every child can thrive.

Our goal is to ensure that every child experiences a summer filled with learning, growth, and fun. Through our Summer Rising Kindergarten Camp, we provide a rewarding experience that prepares children for their upcoming kindergarten year and instills a lifelong love for learning.
