Supporting Our Students’ Futures

At Grace Place, we are committed to ensuring our students achieve success beyond graduation. This summer, our rising seniors participated in a transformative week-long College Bootcamp, designed to pave their way to higher education. The bootcamp was a comprehensive experience aimed at equipping students with essential tools and insights for their college journey. Students began by setting up their Common Application and FAFSA accounts, which are crucial for the college admissions and financial aid processes. They also delved into the Clifton StrengthsFinder Test, a tool that helps individuals identify their inherent strengths and how these can be leveraged in both academic and professional settings. This self-discovery process was complemented by focused sessions on crafting compelling college essays, helping students articulate their personal stories and aspirations effectively.

A highlight of the week was the opportunity for students to visit two prominent campuses: the University of South Florida and the University of Tampa. During these visits, students explored the campuses, toured various facilities, and learned about academic programs, gaining valuable insights into campus life and the academic environment. These experiences were instrumental in helping them visualize their future college experiences and understand the array of academic and extracurricular opportunities available to them.

In addition to their academic and exploratory activities, our students dedicated time to community service by volunteering with Meals of Hope, embodying the spirit of giving back. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and progress and look forward to supporting them as they continue their college journeys.
