School Age Programs Parent Night

Last month, we were excited to welcome over 50 families to our first School-Age Programs Parent Night of the new academic year! This special event served as an orientation for new families with students enrolled in our elementary, middle, and high school after-school programs. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to come together, share a meal, and introduce our families to the heart of what we do.

We understand how important it is for parents to feel connected and informed, so we provided dinner and childcare to make the evening as welcoming as possible. Throughout the event, Grace Place staff shared our history, mission, vision, and values—principles that guide all of our efforts in supporting students and families.

A major focus of the night was on our after-school programs, which provide a supportive and enriching environment for students to continue learning outside of the classroom. We shared how our programs promote academic growth, leadership, and personal development for students at every age level. Additionally, we introduced families to the wide range of services Grace Place offers, including educational programs for all ages, citizenship preparation classes, and our weekly food pantry, so they can take full advantage of everything we have to offer.

At Grace Place, we believe in the strength of family and know that students thrive when they are fully supported at home and in school. This parent night was just the beginning of our commitment to working closely with families to ensure that each student gets the most out of our programs. We look forward to many more opportunities to connect, grow, and succeed together!

There will be three more Parent Nights throughout the year, ensuring parents stay up to date on what’s happening in our after-school programs. Each dinner will highlight a new topic important to parents, featuring guest speakers and discussions on how we can continue to involve the whole family in the educational journey. Together, we can make a lasting impact on our children’s future!
