Connecting Future Leaders
Our recent networking event, hosted by the Grace Place Board of Ambassadors, brought together an inspiring group of young professionals and Grace Place high school students for an evening of connection, conversation, and growth. About 15 young professionals from various careers paired up with 15 of our high school students for a unique opportunity to practice networking and gain valuable experience interacting with professionals.
Each pairing had 5 minutes to chat, discussing topics like school, careers, and aspirations. After each round, students switched to meet someone new, expanding their connections and learning about different fields and career paths. This fast-paced format kept theenergy high and provided our high schoolers with a chance to practice important networking skills in a supportive environment.
The event was a fantastic opportunity for students to engage with professionals, ask questions, and gain insight into potential career opportunities. It also highlighted the power of mentorship, as the young professionals shared their experiences and offered guidance to help students envision their futures.
