College Tours: Exploring The Possibilities

Spring break at Grace Place wasn’t about relaxation—it was about inspiration. Six juniors and two seniors embarked on a multi-day college tour across Florida, visiting Florida State University, Florida A&M University, the University of Florida, Santa Fe College, and the University of Central Florida. This immersive experience gave students a firsthand look at college campuses, academic offerings, and what life beyond high school might look like.

Each stop offered a different atmosphere and learning environment. The University of Florida and UCF were alive with activity, giving students a true sense of campus life in motion, while FSU and FAMU—quiet during spring break—offered a peaceful backdrop for reflection and personal exploration. For many of our students, this was their first opportunity to step foot on a college campus and visualize themselves as future scholars.

These college tours are a critical part of the educational journey at Grace Place. They not only inform students about their academic options but also build confidence, spark ambition, and help them envision a future shaped by education. As our students prepare for the next chapter in their lives, experiences like this play an essential role in helping them make informed, empowered decisions about their futures. We are excited to see where their determination and drive will take them next.
