Black History Month

In celebration of Black History Month, our elementary students participated in a powerful and inspiring presentation that brought history to life in meaningful ways. Over the course of several weeks, students researched and learned about influential Black leaders who have shaped our nation and the world through their courage, innovation, and determination.
From civil rights pioneers to groundbreaking scientists, artists, educators, and leaders, each student selected a figure whose story resonated with them.

Through presentations, creative displays, and storytelling, they proudly shared the achievements and lasting impact of these individuals. The gymnasium was filled with energy and pride as students spoke about the barriers these leaders overcame and the legacies they continue to leave behind.

This experience went beyond memorizing facts—it was an opportunity for students to build confidence, strengthen their public speaking skills, and develop a deeper understanding of history and its relevance today. It also sparked meaningful conversations about resilience, equity, and the importance of recognizing the contributions that continue to shape our communities and our future.
