Celebrating Our Volunteers

The heart of any non-profit is its people, and this was never more evident than at our 2026 Annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. With almost 50 dedicated volunteers in attendance, the room was filled with the energy of individuals committed to making a tangible difference in our community.
The afternoon’s program featured powerful insights into the organization’s growth and future. Attendees had the privilege of hearing from Lara Fisher, CEO of Grace Place, who shared a vision for the upcoming year and expressed deep gratitude for the thousands of hours contributed by those in the room.

A highlight of the event was a presentation from a student in our entrepreneurial class. The student shared how Grace Place, supported by the very volunteers being honored, has provided the tools to turn innovative ideas into reality. Hearing firsthand about the real-world impact of our educational initiatives served as a reminder of why volunteerism is so vital.
Beyond the formal presentations, the luncheon provided a much-needed space to get to know one another a little better. Long-time supporters reconnected over a lunch, while newer volunteers had the chance to meet those from other programs. The atmosphere was one of warmth and camaraderie, reinforcing the idea that while our volunteers come from all walks of life, they are united by a common purpose.

We are deeply grateful for the more than 300 volunteers who support Grace Place throughout the year in so many meaningful ways. They serve in classrooms assisting teachers, tutor students one-on-one, run Choice Academies, act as mentors, serve on committees and on our Board. Their collective impact is felt in every corner of our organization, and we are truly stronger because of them.
