Enrichment in After-School Programs

At Grace Place, our commitment to providing a top-notch education for elementary students extends beyond the classroom, especially in our after-school programs. Our primary focus is always on academics—literacy and math are at the forefront of everything we do. We believe that a strong foundation in these core subjects is essential for our students’ long-term success, and we dedicate significant time to ensure they excel in these areas.

However, we understand that a well-rounded education goes beyond just academics. To enrich our students’ learning experiences, we offer a variety of enrichment activities that complement their academic growth. One day a week, after our dedicated academic hour, students have the exciting opportunity to choose from a range of clubs designed to spark their interests and creativity.

Our club options include:

  • Art: Students can explore their artistic talents through drawing, painting, and various other creative projects.

  • Anime: For fans of Japanese animation, this club provides a space to discuss important themes and learn about animation techniques.
  • Games: Whether board games or strategy games, this club is all about fun and developing critical thinking skills.
  • Sports: From soccer to basketball, students can stay active and learn teamwork and sportsmanship.

  • Technology: This club focuses on computers, internet safety, and related topics, helping students navigate the digital world responsibly.
  • Gardening: Students get hands-on experience in planting and caring for a garden, learning about nature and responsibility.
  • Girls on the Run: This program combines running with lessons on self-esteem and teamwork, empowering young girls to be strong and confident.

We’re proud to offer these enriching activities alongside our strong academic focus. By giving students the chance to explore their interests and develop new skills, we’re helping them grow in a well-rounded way. Seeing their enthusiasm and growth is truly rewarding, and we’re excited to continue supporting their learning journey both in and out of the classroom!
