ABOUT THE GRACE PLACE FOOD PANTRY

As part of our ongoing evolution, Grace Place for Children and Families will transition from operating a public food pantry to providing intentional, education-based nutrition support for enrolled students and families. We are also continuing to serve the broader community as a resource and connector, linking families to trusted local food banks and partners whose mission is food access. The food pantry will be closing January 30, 2026. The impact has only been possible because of the generosity of our volunteers, donors, and partners who have given their time, resources, and kindness to care for our neighbors. Your dedication has made a profound difference in thousands of lives, and we are deeply grateful.

For nearly two decades, Grace Place has been a trusted partner in the Golden Gate community, helping families meet immediate needs while building brighter futures. This next chapter strengthens that impact by returning to our roots by focusing on education as the most powerful way to change lives.

Our mission to break the cycle of poverty through education is stronger than ever. Grace Place now views nutrition through the lens of education, integrating healthy meals, fresh produce, and nutrition into every program, so that food access directly supports focus, academic success, and long-term well-being.

Every enrolled student receives a full meal and snack during each academic session, and families will take home fresh produce monthly. These efforts ensure that every family we serve has consistent access to nutritious food that supports both learning and health.

The Grace Place pantry has been a meaningful part of our story, and its legacy continues through this next chapter—connecting food, learning, and opportunity to build stronger, more resilient families.

We know that this pantry has mattered to many households. Our commitment to supporting families remains unchanged. Between now and January 30, 2026, we will continue to operate the pantry as usual, and we will work with every family to share information about nearby food resources so that there is no lapse in support.
