At Grace Place, we focus on breaking the cycle of poverty by teaching literacy, language and life skills, but there is an undeniable need for mental and physical wellness to support the healthy development of a child. Therefore, Grace Place works with community partner, Health Under Guided Systems (Collier H.U.G.S.), to provide screening, prevention/education and assessments by a licensed professional.

Collier H.U.G.S. uses ASQ-SE (Ages and Stages Questionnaire-social emotional) as a tool for the initial screening with the goal to capture the children who have fallen through the cracks and have unidentified needs that have not been treated. If a problem is identified Collier H.U.G.S. system navigators will assist our families in obtaining follow up services and also ensure timely access to the help they need.
