Making a Splash in Water Safety
In Southwest Florida, water is a way of life. From pools and beaches to canals and lakes, children are surrounded by opportunities to enjoy the water. With those opportunities comes the need for water safety education.
That is why Grace Place is proud to partner with community organizations like SWIM Central, a program of the NCH Safe & Healthy Children’s Coalition that provides lifesaving swim instruction and water safety education to young children throughout Collier County.

Many children in Grace Place’s Bright Beginnings program have participated in SWIM Central, gaining essential safety skills during their early years. Since 2012, SWIM Central has helped more than 13,423 children complete over 111,424 water safety lessons, making swim instruction accessible to families who might otherwise face financial barriers.

Beyond the pool, children gain confidence, independence, and resilience, supporting the same developmental goals that guide Grace Place’s early childhood programs.
At Grace Place, we know that preparing children for success means supporting their growth both inside and outside the classroom. Through partnerships like SWIM Central, our Bright Beginnings students are building skills that help keep them safe today and confident for the future.
