Prioritizing Health for Better Learning

A child’s ability to learn is closely connected to their overall well-being. That’s why we’re proud to partner with the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile to bring free health screenings directly to our campus. Through this partnership, children enrolled in our programs receive essential hearing, vision, and dental assessments—services that can play a critical role in their educational journey.

These screenings do more than check for potential health concerns—they empower families with early detection and intervention. By identifying issues that could interfere with a child’s ability to see the board, hear their teacher, or focus in class due to dental discomfort, we’re helping to remove barriers that might otherwise hinder academic success. These preventative measures ensure that students are not only present in the classroom but are also physically equipped to fully engage with their learning.

Access to health care can be a challenge for many families, and this partnership makes a real difference by bringing expert care right to our students in a familiar, comfortable environment. It also opens important conversations between families, educators, and health professionals, strengthening the support system around each child.

We are incredibly grateful to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida for their continued dedication to the children and families we serve. Their work allows us to uphold our commitment to nurturing the whole child—academically, emotionally, and physically—and helps ensure every student at Grace Place has the best possible foundation for success.
