Publix Gives Back to Grace Place

Last month, Grace Place welcomed 50 Publix associates to its campus for Publix Serves Day 2024—a day dedicated to supporting local communities and fighting hunger. Publix Serves unites its employees each year to make a difference, and this year, we were thrilled to be part of this impactful initiative.

Publix’s support extended beyond volunteer hours; they donated 850 pounds of rice and beans, which volunteers carefully packed for our weekly food pantry. These essentials will directly benefit local families who rely on Grace Place’s food support for nutritious meals. Publix associates also helped clean the cafeteria and prepared snacks for our Bright Beginnings children, ensuring our youngest students have access to healthy snacks each day.

Our food pantry operates every Friday from 1 to 4 PM, serving over 300 families each week. This vital resource provides essential groceries to families in the Golden Gate community, helping alleviate food insecurity and ensure that children have access to healthy meals.

At Grace Place, we are immensely grateful to Publix and all our community partners whose generosity and commitment make a difference. With their support, we can reach more families and continue our mission toward a hunger-free community.
