Creating Pathways Forward at Bright Beginnings

The Bright Beginnings Moms in Class 301 recently hosted a showcase highlighting the skills and knowledge they’ve been developing throughout the quarter. The event celebrated not only their hard work, but also the commitment these moms bring to building stronger futures for themselves and their families.

During this session, participants completed Jewelry Making – Level 1 (Sawing), Nutrition Cooking, and DCF Certification. Each elective provided hands-on learning experiences designed to build practical skills, confidence, and professional readiness.
The Bright Beginnings program is structured so that participants rotate electives every six weeks, allowing moms to explore a variety of career pathways and personal development opportunities. This rotating model encourages continuous growth and exposure to new interests and talents.

Looking Ahead to the Next Showcase
This quarter, the moms are currently engaged in new electives, including Art, Cosmetology, Entrepreneurship – Level 2, and DCF Certification, building on foundational skills while exploring advanced concepts and creative expression. The upcoming showcase for this quarter will take place on February 26, when participants will present what they’ve learned and accomplished, and community members, partners, and supporters are invited to join us in celebrating the dedication, creativity, and progress of these inspiring moms.
