Students Shine in Summer Choice Academy Showcase
This summer, Grace Place’s Middle School Choice Academy became a stage for possibility, passion, and purpose. Over six weeks, students didn’t just attend camp—they stepped into roles as artists, athletes, leaders, designers, engineers, and changemakers. Through seven dynamic academies—Art, Golf, Quickball, Crowned for Success Leadership, A.I. Drones, Fashion & Jewelry Design, and Service Projects—each student discovered new talents, built confidence, and learned to lead with heart.
The summer culminated in an inspiring Choice Academy Summer Showcase, where students proudly presented to a panel of dedicated volunteer judges, sharing not just what they created, but what they learned. The judges engaged with each group at their presentation tables, asking thoughtful questions and scoring them based on what they learned and created during the program.
The competition was fierce. Earning the Gold Medal in a tie were the A.I. Drones Academy and the Service Projects Academy, both demonstrating impressive innovation and community impact. The Silver Medal went to the Crowned for Success Leadership Academy for their outstanding leadership growth and teamwork. The Bronze Medal was awarded to the Art Academy, whose creativity and dedication truly shined.
We extend a heartfelt thank-you to our volunteer judges, whose thoughtful engagement and encouragement made the showcase a memorable experience for all. We are incredibly proud of every student who participated — their hard work, creativity, and confidence lit up the room and proved that learning can be every bit as exciting as it is rewarding. As they head into the fall Choice Academies, we know they’ll carry this momentum forward—ready to dream bigger, lead stronger, and keep growing into the changemakers they’re meant to be.
