Back to School, Back to Grace Place

The new school year is underway, and our students are jumping into learning and enrichment with energy and enthusiasm! This year, more than 500 students are participating in Grace Place’s after-school programs, exploring new skills, discovering passions, and building confidence in a safe, supportive environment.

Our elementary students dive into reading, homework help, and enrichment activities that make learning fun while building strong academic foundations. Middle schoolers continue to explore their interests through Choice Academies—hands-on experiences in technology, healthcare, arts, leadership, and more—that help them uncover passions and imagine future careers. High school students focus on college and career readiness, gaining real-world skills, mentorship, and guidance as they plan their next steps.

We’re especially excited to welcome our new Director of Career and Technical Education, Kengo Yamada, who will enhance our curriculum with a focus on in-demand local careers, including manufacturing, healthcare, technology, and entrepreneurship. This addition ensures students not only discover what they love, but also learn skills that can lead to meaningful, local career opportunities.

As students settle into their routines, Grace Place is here to walk alongside them and their families—providing support, opportunity, and a safe, engaging place to learn. With so much energy, talent, and curiosity in one place, we can’t wait to see what this school year will bring.
