Robin Gudites will serve as the new AP Leadership Program Coordinator. In this position Robin will be responsible for the direct development and management of all components of the AP Leadership Program. In this role Robin manages a caseload of students and assists them in identifying and overcoming any academic barriers. She also coordinates special programs and collaborates with partners to present counseling and college preparation activities. Robin brings over ten years experience from her roles at Hodges University where she held the position of Admissions Coordinator before being promoted to Director of Learning Sites. Andres Machado will serve as College Access Counselor to our AP Leadership students. This new position assists students and families to identify and resolve student issues regarding college access. Andres will help students to research and understand their postsecondary career and educational options. He will assist with student preparation of applications for college and jobs, and he will provide individual and small-group college counseling services to students. Andres comes to Grace Place from the Florida Immigrant Coalition where he was instrumental in working with FGCU Faculty Senate to pass a resolution supporting tuition equality for all Florida high school graduates, regardless of immigration status.
