Dear Friends,

Thank you for your patience during this unprecedented time of uncertainty and challenging circumstances. Like you, Grace Place is concerned about the spread of COVID-19, and we are doing everything we can to adapt our important work for students and families while protecting our community.

As an organization, we have developed a plan to continue supporting our Grace Place families through education and support services. Here are a few of the steps we’re taking to ensure our families and students have the tools and knowledge they need to continue learning and to stay healthy and safe during this difficult time.

  • Every Grace Place student is being contacted by a Grace Place staff member this week to ask how they are doing, identify any immediate needs they have, and to be sure they are connected digitally. Once we have this information, we will continue to assess how we can best support the needs of our families. We will be sure to keep you updated and informed on how you can help.
  • We have created an online Family Home-Learning Guide accessible from the homepage of our website. On this site, our program team members will create weekly learning activities and resources for our students and families to continue their learning. We will ongoingly build the resources on this site to support our families until we resume with regular programming.
  • We are creating an additional resource page on our website where families can find links for updated COVID-19 information, home-learning activities, food distribution locations, and more.
  • Our food pantry will remain open on Saturday mornings. We have modified our distribution model to further ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers and pantry clients. If you are interested and able to volunteer with us Saturday mornings, we are looking for a limited number of volunteers from 9am to 1pm. All those interested in volunteering should contact Chrissie Missal at chrissie@graceplacenaples.org.

Thank you for your dedication and commitment to Grace Place, its mission, and the families we serve. This time will pass, and when the bans are lifted and we begin to return to our classrooms, we will need you more than ever. For now, please take care of yourself and your family.

If you have questions, our staff continues to work diligently, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

In partnership,

Dr. Tim Ferguson
