Two Powerful Gifts Making a Lasting Impact at Grace Place

The Grace Place mission to empower children and families through education is only possible through the generosity and commitment of our community partners. This month, we are thrilled to recognize two incredible charitable gifts that are helping us continue this vital work.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to The Members Club at Marco Champions for Charities for their extraordinary donation of $52,267.50 from their annual golf tournament. This event, which combines a love of golf with a passion for giving back, brought together community members and leaders who are making a tangible difference in the lives of families in Golden Gate. Special thanks go to Golf Pro Scott Lien, Champions for Charities Chair Don and Joanna Avjean, and General Manager Anthony Schmid for their leadership in organizing and championing this powerful effort.

In addition to this exciting support, we are also deeply thankful for the $25,000 gift from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation. This contribution supports both our youth and adult education programs—ensuring learners of all ages have access to the resources they need to succeed. But Bank of America’s impact doesn’t stop at funding. Their team members regularly volunteer in our elementary after-school program and recently supported our VPK graduation ceremony, creating lasting memories for our youngest learners. We especially want to thank Andrew Buschle, Bank of America executive and Grace Place board member, for his continued dedication and hands-on involvement.

Together, these generous partners embody the spirit of community and collaboration that fuels our work every day. Their support allows us to provide full-circle educational programming—from early childhood to adult learning—and reinforces the message that education is the key to long-term change.

At Grace Place, we believe in the power of partnership—and thanks to these champions, we are more equipped than ever to build brighter futures for our families.
