Models of Community Support – Russell’s BBQ and The League Club
At Grace Place for Children and Families, we are constantly reminded of the power of community. This May, we were especially grateful to witness outstanding examples of local support—through a successful fundraiser hosted by PBS Contractors and Russell’s BBQ, and a generous grant from The League Club of Collier County.
Russell’s BBQ & PBS Contractors: Fundraising with Heart
Each year, PBS Contractors and Russell’s BBQ partner to host a lively and impactful fundraiser in support of local nonprofits. This year, Grace Place had the honor of being selected as the beneficiary—and what an incredible evening it was!
Over 300 community members gathered to enjoy great food, fellowship, and a shared passion for giving back. Thanks to their generosity and the dedication of the event hosts, we were able to raise an inspiring $10,000 in support of our Summer Adventure Academy programs.
These funds will help provide local students with enriching summer experiences that focus on academic engagement, character development, and creative exploration. We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this possible. Your support helps us continue our mission of educational opportunity for all.
The League Club: A Grant That Grows Futures
We are also thrilled to announce that Grace Place has received a $20,000 grant from The League Club of Collier County. This vital funding will support our Bright Beginnings program—an early childhood education initiative that prepares preschoolers for success while empowering their parents with English literacy and child development classes.
By investing in the education of both children and their caregivers, Bright Beginnings builds strong family foundations and supports long-term academic success.
We are honored to partner with The League Club, whose commitment to community impact continues to open doors for families across Collier County.
Thank You for Being Part of the Grace Place Story
From backyard BBQs to classroom breakthroughs, every act of support helps us move closer to our vision: a community where all children and families have access to the tools they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
To everyone who donated, attended, volunteered, or helped spread the word—thank you for being a part of our mission. Together, we are creating brighter futures, one step at a time.
