IBERIABANK hosted 40 Grace Place middle school summer STEM Camp students for a bank tour on Monday, June 17, 2013. Held at IBERIABANK’s Naples headquarters at 2150 Goodlette Road North, students were exposed to much more than just dollars and cents.

Professionals from IBERIABANK shared the fundamentals of how a bank operates, career opportunities available within a bank, current financial industry issues such as identity theft and more. The children also had the opportunity to tour the branch vault and safety deposit box area, view how checks are processed in the bank’s lockbox department, and experience how a teller line operates.

“Our students had an outstanding day at IBERIABANK and were thoroughly engaged in the hands-on and real-world learning that is so valuable for at-risk youth,” said Grace Place Executive Director Stephanie Munz Campbell. “A field trip like this can awaken the desire in a student to try new things and pursue previously unconsidered dreams. I think Naples will be seeing some budding bankers and business leaders emerging out of Grace Place in the coming years!”

Beginning July 1, 2012, IBERIABANK will launch the “i Gives Back” school supply drive to benefit students of Grace Place. School supplies may be dropped off at any IBERIABANK location in Collier County.
