Career Exploration in Action: Discovering Future Possibilities

This summer, Grace Place high school students took an important step toward shaping their futures through hands-on career exploration at Lorenzo Walker Technical College.

During their visit, students immersed themselves in two exciting fields—culinary arts and automotive technology. In the culinary program, they experienced the fast-paced environment of a professional kitchen, learning firsthand about the skills, creativity, and teamwork required in the industry.

In automotive technology, students explored skilled trades and gained insight into the technical expertise needed to keep today’s vehicles running safely and efficiently. These experiences are about more than trying something new—they help students connect their interests, talents, and goals to real-world career opportunities. By stepping into professional learning environments, students can better understand the many pathways available after high school, whether through technical education, certification programs, college, or other career-focused training.

At Grace Place, we believe that exposure to career possibilities helps students build confidence, make informed decisions, and envision a future filled with opportunity. Experiences like this empower young people to see what is possible and take meaningful steps toward achieving their dreams.

Through career exploration experiences, Grace Place students gain the confidence, knowledge, and skills to pursue their goals after high school. Your generosity helps make these transformative opportunities possible.
